Understand
Posts share current information with people considering the business. Choose an available update, event or offer format that fits the information and the applicable policy. Dates, conditions and destinations should match the real business. An event is useful because it tells a customer what is happening and when, not because publishing it guarantees better rankings.
Check the content and any destination before publishing through the authorised interface. Use supported contact buttons rather than putting a phone number into post text. Hotel profiles have a stricter rule: promotional content and offer posts are prohibited, so use the hotel's separate lesson. A draft, a submitted post and a visible public post are different states; record the state you can actually establish.
Practice example
A fictional cafe has a confirmed Saturday music event. Draft the date, time and relevant destination, ask the owner to review it, then record publication separately if an authorised person posts it.
RIM coaching: Choose an update because customers need it. Keep the reviewed content and dated status; a weekly planning habit is not a ranking guarantee.
