Understand

Hotel posts can provide useful, timely information about the property. Current Google policy prohibits hotel offer posts and posts that mention or link to deals, promotions, special offers or discounts. This restriction takes precedence over promotional examples in the older hotel playbook. Use an eligible informational update rather than repackaging a discounted stay as an ordinary update.

Choose a confirmed fact that helps a guest plan, such as a change to access arrangements. Check the available post controls and the destination as well as the text. An independently eligible restaurant at the hotel follows the rules for its own profile, not a permission assumed for the hotel. Keep a reviewed draft, submission status and public visibility separate when saving proof.

Practice example

For a fictional hotel, draft a factual notice explaining temporary entrance arrangements during confirmed maintenance. Avoid discount language and promotional destination links, and ask the authorised owner to review it before publication.

RIM coaching: Check current policy before each hotel post. Preserve the informational purpose and dated status; the lesson does not promise approval or a booking increase.
