Understand ownership and access

Distinguish claiming a profile from transferring its primary ownership.

This written lesson is currently in English. Thai lesson translations and narration are planned.

This lesson is ready to read and practise. English narration is awaiting production and source review; Thai narration follows next.

Understand

A profile's public presence does not establish who has permission to manage it. Claiming an unclaimed profile, requesting access to an already managed profile and transferring primary ownership are different processes. Identify the current authorised owner and your role before choosing a route. Do not create a duplicate profile simply because someone else manages the existing one.

Use the official ownership request or transfer process appropriate to the situation. An access request is pending until its outcome is established; preparing a request is not ownership. Each person should use their own account rather than sharing someone else's password. Academy proof needs only a redacted status and next step, not email addresses, credentials or private identity documents.

Practice example

A fictional cafe's former agency still manages its profile. Describe an owner-authorised access request for the existing profile, rather than building a duplicate or asking the agency to hand over its login.

RIM coaching: Record who is authorised to act, the route chosen and its status. Check the outcome before marking access restored or ownership transferred.
