Understand the verification method Google assigns.

Understand

Verification is Google's process for checking that you can represent the business. Google chooses which methods are available; another business's method does not establish yours. Open the profile you are authorised to manage and read its current instructions. A profile awaiting review is a different state from a verified profile or a failed submission.

Prepare only the evidence requested for your assigned method. If Google offers video verification, follow its instructions for showing the business, its location where relevant, and your management authority. Keep verification codes, documents and private recordings out of your Academy evidence. You can record the status and next step while a review is pending; completing this lesson does not accelerate Google's decision.

Practice example

A fictional electrician is offered video verification. Write a preparation checklist from the displayed requirements, then record 'pending submission'. Do not mark the profile verified because the checklist is complete.
