Respond to profile problems

Distinguish verification, duplicates, access loss and review-policy problems.

This lesson is ready to read and practise. English narration is awaiting production and source review; Thai narration follows next.

Understand

A missing edit, lost access, duplicate profile, suspension and disputed review are different problems. Start with the actual symptom and current status rather than assuming the cause. Compare the situation with the official route for that issue. For example, an ownership request addresses access, while a suspension uses the applicable appeals process; creating another listing is not a universal repair.

Gather relevant, truthful evidence and distinguish a practice scenario from a real case. A negative review is not automatically a policy violation, and flagging it does not guarantee removal. Avoid repeated speculative changes while diagnosing an issue. Record the route chosen, why it fits and the current outcome. If Google asks for more information, preserve that request and respond through the official process.

Practice example

In a fictional scenario, an owner can see the business publicly but cannot manage it. Diagnose an access problem first; do not call it a suspension or promise that a duplicate listing will fix it.

RIM coaching: Keep symptoms, decisions, submissions and outcomes in order. Pending or unsuccessful cases remain valid learning evidence when they are recorded honestly.

Practise

What does flagging a review establish?

Apply to your business

Work through a practice scenario or your actual issue using the relevant official process. Do not assume an appeal or review flag guarantees a result.

Keep proof of your work

The chosen route and rationale, with actual case outcomes distinguished from practice.

A saved note is an owner report. Evidence is checked separately; keep drafts, applied changes and public observations distinct.

Check what changed

Record the eventual outcome when a real case exists.
