Understand
Social links should take customers to the business's official accounts. Confirm both the destination and who controls it. A similarly named page may belong to another location, an old operator or an unrelated business. Use the social-link controls currently available in the profile and the supported platforms shown there; availability is not identical for every business.
Open each destination and check the identity, current activity and exact URL before proposing an update. A working social account and a saved profile link are separate observations. If an account has changed name, ownership or address, resolve that with the owner rather than linking an uncertain page. Adding social links helps customers navigate; a case study does not predict how many clicks this business will receive.
Practice example
A fictional cafe's profile links to a former owner's Instagram account. Ask the current owner to confirm the official destination, prepare the correction, and inspect the saved profile link after an authorised edit.
